I randomly met my favorite band today-Depeche Mode- what are the chances?
I'm behind on my posts, but I had to write about this now. Greg and I took a mini vacation to Santa Barbara (where we were married) for our 5 year anniversary. I got a wonderful surprise.....
I had the most surreal experience today. I was walking down the street with Greg and heard someone speaking loudly with an english accent. I look over and saw a German looking tourist guy and thought nothing of it. Then I saw a man with those familiar blond curly locks. It came together. Oh my, there is Fletch and Martin from Depeche Mode. I asked them to take a picture. They were so incredibly nice. Then walks up Dave. I was in shock. Greg took a picture of me with all three. And they were all smiling. What genuine nice people. I felt so comfortable, I was about to sit down and have lunch with them. Then I realized that I was a complete stranger to them and let them have there space.
I've always wanted to met them but was afraid they would be in a bad mood or I would say the wrong thing. This was a complete and total accident to see them. And they couldn't have been more nice. I'm still on a high.
Oh and what are the chances that they are all together at the same time? Dave said that they are working. I hope they release some new stuff soon. I'll be eagerly waiting.

Update: I went on to the fan message board and posted my story and the picture. I then found out that it was Dave's birthday on 5/9. If I only knew, I could have wished him a happy birthday.
